| White Tail Deer Lying in the Woods |
It is a cloudy and chilly day here in southern Oklahoma this
morning. However, it is apparently a good time for a deer nap! As I was looking
out one of the windows at the back of the house this morning, I saw a light
colored place in the woods that I didn’t remember seeing before. I kept looking
at it to see if I could tell what it was. It never moved, so I had almost
decided it was part of a tree that had possibly fallen.
I couldn’t stop looking at it, could it possibly be a deer
lying down in the trees? I went and got hubby’s binoculars and focused in on
it. I was right! It was a deer lying down in the leaves just at the edge of the
tree line. I never seemed to move, I think it was falling asleep!
You know me, I ran into the kitchen and got my camera off
the dining room table and ran back to the window. I snapped a couple of
pictures of the deer and she still never moved. I hope you can see her in the
picture as she was quite a ways away and the tree limbs keep her fairly well
hidden.
I couldn’t help but share this with my friends this morning.
It’s the little things in nature that make me smile. I hope you enjoy my
